Far Lengths for Workplace Safety
G&M Services requires all field personnel to complete comprehensive safety training during new-hire orientation, and no employee is permitted on a job site without OSHA 10 certification. In addition, every Field Supervisor must hold OSHA 30 certification to ensure advanced safety oversight. To reinforce our safety-first culture, G&M Services employs a full-time Safety Manager who actively monitors compliance across all crews. Ongoing monthly training sessions and weekly safety meetings keep our team informed on evolving technologies, best practices, and updated safety procedures.
Silica Training and Awareness for Construction Jobs
Silica is a naturally occurring crystalline substance commonly found in construction materials such as concrete, sand, stone, and mortar. OSHA requires specific safety training and controls to minimize exposure and protect workers from serious health risks. As a core drilling and concrete cutting contractor, G&M Services takes the hazards of silica dust and its long-term health effects very seriously. All field employees receive specialized silica awareness training during the new-hire process, ensuring they understand proper handling procedures and exposure prevention on active job sites.
To further protect our crews, G&M Services follows OSHA Table 1 engineering control methods to reduce airborne silica dust and conducts annual respirator fit testing and routine health evaluations for all concrete operations personnel. As an early adopter of OSHA’s Silica Standards, G&M Services remains committed to staying ahead of evolving safety regulations through ongoing research and close collaboration with industry safety groups.
