3 Concrete Saws Your Workers Can Use

Every job site is different, and that means you need to be prepared for any situation. Here are three different kinds of concrete saws that your workers can use to get the job done right.

Sawing through concrete can be physically taxing, which is why your workers need the best tools. Every job site is different, and that means you need to be prepared for any situation. Here are three different kinds of concrete saws that your workers can use to get the job done right.

Floor Saws

When you need to cut straight lines on a horizontal surface, then floor saws produce the best results. Floor saws designed to cut through concrete are also called walk-behind saws and flat saws. When your workers need to add expansion joints to freshly-poured concrete, then they can rely on floor saws to help them do it quickly and efficiently. At some point, all concrete floors will need repairs. Luckily, using floor saws to make these repairs is much easier than using other types of saws.

Wall Saws

Floor saws are great for when your employees need to alter concrete floor slabs. However, that’s not the only type of concrete work they’ll need to do. For making cuts in vertical surfaces, they will need top of the line wall saws. These concrete saws are immensely useful for adding doors and windows in solid concrete walls. The saw blades are mounted on tracks that guide where the blade goes so that the operator can control the saw without endangering anyone else working nearby. Wall saws are also great solutions for addressing the problem of making clean cuts with minimal effort, meaning your workers won’t get too tired too quickly. Thus, they won’t be drained when they move onto other tasks, such as working with wire saws.

Wire Saws

When blades aren’t working, wires could make the difference instead. Despite their name, the wires are steel cables coated in diamond. Your workers use these concrete saws by lining up the wires where they need to go before using pulleys to keep the wires in place. Once the motor for the wire saw is turned on, friction takes over and cuts through the concrete, even if it has been reinforced and is too difficult for other saws to cut through.
